Welcome to TinTutor. By creating an account or using our tutoring services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for an account or accessing TinTutor’s services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have parental consent, and you agree to comply with these Terms. If you are registering on behalf of a minor (e.g., a student), you are responsible for their compliance with these Terms.

2. Services Provided

TinTutor provides online and/or in-person tutoring services, including academic instruction, study materials, and related resources. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services at any time without prior notice.

3. User Accounts

• Account Creation: You must provide accurate and complete information during registration, including your name, email, and the student’s name (if different). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• Account Security: You are responsible for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately at support@tintutor.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
• Account Termination: We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, including non-payment, fraudulent activity, or inappropriate conduct.

4. Payment and Fees

• Tutoring Fees: Fees for tutoring sessions are as outlined on our website or agreed upon at booking. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
• Payment Terms: Payments must be made in advance via our designated payment methods. Failure to pay may result in suspension of services.
• Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellations made more than 24 hours before a scheduled session may be eligible for a refund, subject to our discretion. No refunds will be provided for cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use our services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Share, reproduce, or distribute our tutoring materials without permission.
• Engage in harassing, abusive, or disrespectful behavior toward tutors or other users.
• Attempt to access or interfere with our systems, servers, or data.

6. Intellectual Property

All content provided by TinTutor, including study materials, lesson plans, and website content, is owned by TinTutor or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Users may request to reschedule sessions through their account dashboard, subject to the availability of other timeslots. No refunds will be provided for cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment. TinTutor reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to tutor availability, technical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances, with reasonable notice provided.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TinTutor is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to academic performance or outcomes. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid for the services in question.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold TinTutor, its affiliates, and employees harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of our services.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to our services at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or TinTutor.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which TinTutor is headquartered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that state.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page, and continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
